I have had a everblooming Gardenia plant for about 10 years now, I feed it, baby it but it will not bloom,I get alot of buds ...but just as they are ready to open they fall off !! what am I doing wrong ..the leaves are beautiful, and there are no bugs on it (that I can see anyways)
should I just throw it away ..or give it more love, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Tamra

You may have something called thrips (I think). You need to get spray and spray them. Just look at Lowe's. If this is what it is, the buds will form then just fall off. I've had that on mine too.

Heres some info I found...

quote:
Gardenias encounter “bud drop” where flower buds drop off just before they open. Causes can include low humidity, overwatering, underwatering, insufficient light and high temperatures. Nighttime temperatures in the range of 50 to 55 degrees are necessary for proper bud formation.
