last year I purchased a plum tree from a small local nursery and the only thing that it said on the tag was "German Plum". Does anyone have any idea? Is it self-pollinating? Is it european or a prune variety? Any info would be great.

Appears you're not getting any bites here Tamara so though i'm afraid i know diddly about your question, i researched it and found that german plums are also called "Felenburg" types. Have a look at the link below, it's a start.

Thanks, I guess it is European and a prune variety intertwined. Europeans are partially self-fertile so I should be o.k. Now all I have to do is wait about 6 or 7 years to try them [Cool] .
