hi i found some bulbs growing in the woods on my land when i was doing some clearing they where not blooming then.i moved some of them to a flower bed and some of them bloomed.i need 2 know what type soil they need also do they need full sun? parchel shade? or all shade? i found the name of them but not what they like to make them grow n bloom.the name is hemiocallis X. also called paruvian dafadill. any help would be aprceated

thanks weezie for the site imfomation it just what i needed to know.i live in zone 7 and there still in my flower bed i put piles of leaves on them in the fall through winter till the spring of the year.they seem to do ok thay way i found some more today rakeing in the woods where i cleared out some brush think ill move them next spring. i dont know how they got there but there beutfull flowers mine are white. think i will have enough to make a real nice size bed of them. thanks again for your help. mike57

hi again sorry i did not tell how i found out what they where.i made a few phone calls and sent photos to a few places with the us department of aggrculture in washington. they told the name of them but not how to care for them.i dont know the cost of them but wiil check on it. thanks again. mike57
