Sorry to ask such a simple question, but everywhere I seem to look I get a different answer.

I have dug the soil, sifted it, mixed it with compost and smoothed it. I plan to add some bulbs later this afternoon. Is there anything else I need to add to the soil before or after I plant the bulbs?

Thanks for all your help!

Nope...I think you've done everything that needs to be done. Some people add bulb fertilizer to the planting hole, but it really isn't necessary because the bulb already has all the nutrients it needs stored inside.

Yep, I'd ditto on Alan's answer....
Not much to do anymore, other than to sit back
and wait for all those beautiful blooms.

Did you post what kind of bulbs you planted??? [critic]
