Hello! We had all of our conifers topped at work (approx 60 trees) back in March and we now have a huge pile of woodchip - I would like to use some on the flowerbeds, but is this safe or a no-no? Any help... thanks!

Hi Lilaclomax,
You can safely use them in your flower beds or around your shrubs if they were healthy. It's always best to let them age, and it sounds like those have, so go ahead and enjoy the free mulch. Wish I could come and get some!

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
