Well, to begin - I've started up a prairie garden (to go with the theme of my house - an arts and crafts style bungalow) and just planted most of the flowers and grasses.
Quick question though (I am a novice remember). I purchased two kinds of plants - one's from a local nursery, and ones from the internet. Generally, how long will it take my internet plants to catch up to my local nursery plants? Example - I have a Purple Coneflower that is already 2' (local nursery) and then one that is about 5" (internet nursery). Will both these guys be the same height next season? I'm just not sure of how fast or slow all my wild flowers grow.
thanks in advance and i'll be sure to include pics (when there's somethin to look at!) lol...

ive never had coneflowers, my book says they can grow to 2-4 feet tall & 1-2 feet wide. sorry it dont say how long for them to fully mature. so i dont know if theyll be the same size next summer. how are you gonna plant them? in a stright line or mixed up? if ya put em in a stright line, ya can always do one after another[52525]or put the 5" in the middle & 2" on the edges[22555522].or you could put a row of 5s & a row of 2s infront of the 5s. 5-5-5-5 -2-2-2- sorry i couldnt help with the info ya need.[ but i had fun thinking of ways to plant your flowers! ]im shure someone will come along & help ya
