hi! i saw a caterpillar a couple of weeks ago in my front yard while i was attempting to make a gardening table. i don't have a pic but i can try to explain it. it was FAT! it was maybe about an inch or 2 long. it was neon green and had shield like skin that was neon green. and it had 2 reddish brown eyes. it didn't have any spikes on it. it was pretty but it freaked me out! it was scary looking! i think it was the biggest caterpillar i've ever seen! i'd like to find out what kind it was but if i can't that's fine :-) thanks for the help!

I don't know what kind of caterpillar you have but we have plenty here that are fuzzy and black with a reddish brown centre band which is nearly the same size as the adjacent 2 black bands. Does anyone know what it is?

hi mr. ron! welcome to the garden helper! i can't help but what may help is if you do a forum search and type in control cabbage loopers or type cabbage loopers or something like that and you may get a lot of information on it. what will probably be a lot more help is if you start your post as a new topic. just scroll to the bottom of the page and where it says "post a reply" click on "start topic" and then you can say what you have to say or ask what you have to ask and i'm sure it'll help alot more :-)
