PLEASE NOTE: If you don't see the picture, don't blame Frances & Ivan - the hurricanes didn't take 'em - it's because our server has their FTP service down right now (Sep 19th 2k4). Check back later.
Sometimes you get an image of something - say it's a neighbour's cat you haven't seen in a long time, an old friend or a product that doesn't seem to be around anymore. You think, gee - I'd like to see that . . .
You forget about it, and bingo - within the next coupla' days, it turns up.
It's called 'manifestation'. And that's what this is here.
(It probably won't work, cause I'm 'dwelling' on it - you're not supposed to 'think about it' too long - you're supposed to 'let it go' as soon as you cast your 'stone of intention')
Just the same, I'll share this with you. It involves the following two pictures of a Rose of Sharon, a view of an opening on our front lot, and a picture I 'faked' up . . . the 'fake' picture will give you an idea of what I hope to accomplish.
1) The front of our lot (see the opening);
2) View of the Rose of Sharon bush in the next lot(back yard);
3) View of the Rose of Sharon bush in the next lot (front yard);
4) A 'fake-up' photo (copy-pasted) of what I'd like to see in that opening;
Yeah, I know - I'm a big dreamer.

I've been trimming those branches, bit by bit - even went to the trouble of sawing off a limb yesterday (don't worry - they're not exactly healthy foliage - that blotchy Manitoba Maple scrub stuff).
I know I'll have to have a lot of sun to carry this off.
If my little project with the branch I'm trying to re-root, and seed pods don't work, then I'll just have to go out and buy a Rose of Sharon in the spring - I'm bound and determined, I'll have one.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Winter dreamin', eh?
Do you think if I took hostages or something, I could get somebody to cancel winter - just this one time?

Hey Carly, I'll bet you can do it! Roses of Sharon are pretty easy-going, although my book says they're for zones 5-10. Are you in 5?
They do like the sun, though, so you're accomodating them ought to make them happy.
I've had good success with starting seeds for ROS. They also grow very nicely from suckers. Is that your neighbor's plant? You might be able to beg a couple of suckers from it. Go, go, go!

Carly ~ I'm sure I'll have some RoS seeds to share when this season is all said and done, so if you'd like to PM me later this fall I can probably send you some. As I said in my other post, I have magenta, and white with magenta throats. I'm going to check my seeds from last year tomorrow - I might have some of the magenta seeds left over. I'll let you know...
