Jenni, I was just thinking of you two days ago!! **I found a Creepin' Jenni in my mom's flower bed, and it was sooooo pretty. All bloomin' in yellow! I plucked it out and gave it a pot of it's own. I really like that plant, so pretty!
Anyhow, your pond is looking good! I like your frog!!! And the fish are soooooooo cute! You've put in alot of work there! I like how you finished the top part where the water falls out! Very nice!
Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks Cindy,Rue. Karen- I also have some shubukin in my pond. I won the koi in an online auction at aquabid.com. 18 $ fo 18 2-3 inch koi. So far they're doin great. This weekend I bought Nibbles, he's the large 8-10 inch. I think he's in one of the pics I posted. Anyway, I have pretty good aeration with the waterfall, and I have some parrot feather which is an oxygenator, also is winter hardy up here. So I think my pond has it's own little environment going, I'll keep you posted on how the koi do. Had them about 3 months. Hey Weezie, Scarlet's been very busy lately as have I, Her moms been sick and she's been helping her out alot. we just found out our dad has small cell cancer, if he gets treatment he's got about 6 to 8 months, without treatment he's got about 6 to 8 weeks. It's been real hard to deal with. Just feel kind of numb. My Mom was also just diagnosed with emphysema. She seems to be doing ok for now, since she quit smoking her lungs seem to be healing a little. So this weekend I got some pond therapy in. It seems to help a little. Sorry for dumping on you guys, and thanks for the pond input.

Jenny, I'm sorry to hear about your family's health issues.
Your pond looks fabulous!!!! I'm jealous. Come make one for me??
I just have a little yard, and a LOT of work to do with it. Told hubby I wanted a rain barrel for the back of the house, so I didn't have to stretch the hose all the way around the house, and then it barely reaches what I need.. and he laughed at me. "We don't live on a farm or have a huge property, are you crazy?!" It's bad enough I want a patio out back with room around it to plant stuff. Oy, the looks I get when I tell him what I want to do.

For some reason, I can't get to your pics but I have a pond kit that I want to install. Probably won't do it until at least this fall. Sounds like you have some great ideas for the pond area. Sorry about your most recent family illnesses. Gardening is a great get-away!

Oh Jenni, I am soooooooooo sorry to hear about your dad! I know exactly what you are going thru, we lost our dad about 4 years ago, and we are still doing things to the "ole family homestead" as we speak. My dad built the house and lived many years there, *and he loved to build rock gardens, he did 3 of of them* and my dad was sick tooo. With a long list of things that was longer of what was wrong with him than what was right... Honestly... It's hard when we see someone that was a strength in your life to go to such opposite extremes......
I now look after my mom, she lives right next door, and gets winded easily! But we enjoy everyday, especially even more so in the garden, and be glad we have this day!
Please send my condolence's to your sister and your self and your mom!
Go to this site Poems and Words of Comfort Go to "Do not stand at my grave and weep" and "All Is Well". I like both of those!
