ok I know its a strange question...but can you root one of the side banchs off your tomato plant? with all the rain...or monsoon season I had last month here in TX I got this branch hanging on my plant and it has some small roots in the crotch area on it....like it wants its own space maybe [dunno] Its about 9 or so inches long& is earliey girl(I think [nutz] )It sure looks good after all that rain [thumb] [Big Grin]


Can't wait for them thoughts! [Roll Eyes]

You sure can!! In fact, once when I was planting my tomatoes, I completely broke off the top of one. I just stuck it in the ground, watered it, and put a cut-off milk jug over it and it grew! Now, when I need an extra plant, I just break off a sucker and stick it in a pot. Then in a few weeks it's ready to plant out.

Yep, Njoynit, same for me what Terry did,
broke the top off of a plant, planting it, and went Ooops [Embarrassed] [Frown] [Mad] and said to my self,
SELF, let's experiment, and I striped the bottom leaves, stuck it in, and watered...
I did water it a few times with my personal fav,
Shultz Plus 10~60~10, just to get over some shock and give it a couple of foliar feeds to get some nutrients until it could send out some roots...

Might have been a bit slower than the rest, busy rooting up and all, but still got some 'mater's out of it!!!

well will have to round me up another planter to hang it out its bottom gotta keep um off the ground...so much better
I'd swear that branch grew 3 inches overnight.
