I just recently bought a majesty palm, I have the plant in my room next to a french door with a transim window above, it stared to get yellow leaves. Is this from lack of direct sunlight? I am lost, have had no problems with any of my other house plants, and this plant is 17' tall, so I'm not in the habit of moving it much. Would a grow light work also?

Hi [wayey] and welcome to the forum!

I don't know too much about grow lights...but it does sound like it needs more light. Do you have a sunnier window to put it at?

Suzie,
Did you ever resolve your majesty palm problem? I have a 9' plant that, out of the blue, is doing the same thing. I moved it to direct light -- it doesn't seem to make much difference.

This may sound silly, but have you both checked your plants for spider mites. Every majesty palm I have bought has an amazing ability to get them, and get them bad!
