We have a 4 year asparagus patch and had terrible weed problems for the first time last year. Some one told us to sprinkle the ground/patch with softner salt. The salt is supposed to prevent the weeds from growing but isn't supposed to affect the asparagus. Does anyone know if this works or if it's a myth? Thanks!
