I have been told to water aloe plants from the bottom. Does it cause problems watering from the top?

you can top water aloe plants (or any other plant for that matter) if you are careful not to drench the top center of the plant. When top watering, the thing to remember is that a light sprinkle that most resembles rain is best. good luck with your aloe.
