I just bought a Venus Fly Trap. I guess they go dormant during the winter. I don't have anyplace that gets 45-55 degrees. I saw something about putting it in the refrigerator, but our fridge is 40 degrees. I guess it doesn't eat while its dormant? But, does it still have to be kept moist? How often does it have to be fed during the non-dormant period? You say the growing period is May to October but it's only dormant for 3 months. Do I feed it starting in the spring?

Venus fly traps are very difficult to keep alive through the winter. They grow in subtropical regions where they get cool nightime temperatures, moderately cold winters, and high humidity. That is a difficult environment to re-create at home, as you have found.
I suggest that you enjoy this novelty plant for as long as it stays alive without turning your life upside down. Then treat it like an annual and discard it.
