Recently I saw the money tree at the store. I have been tossing the idea around of getting one. There is just something about it that I liked. I've been doing some research about them. They say they can get up to 60 feet tall. If I leave it in a smaller pot, will it get much bigger. I would like it to get some height but nothing to big for the house. My husband is already having a fit about all the plants that are hear. Also, I've been reading some mixed reviews on care. Does it need a lot of sun or not? Any info before I invest will be greatly appreciated. Posts: 71 | From: New Jersey | Registered: Aug 2003

Pachira aquatica may grow to a height of 60 to 90 feet outdoors in its natural habitat. It will never get anywhere near that height as a potted plant indoors. With a lot of direct sun and good care, it might reach 6 to 8 feet.
It absolutely must have as much direct sun as you can possibly provide indoors. It is also a bog plant and does not tolerate dry soil at all.
