well, it still isn't dead! But, I was thinking about what Will said about over-potting plants and how the soil doesn't dry out fast enough, and sure enough, most of the roots on the remaining plant were rotted. But, the good news, I have good root buds on 3 of the four "plants" so I put them all in the same "pot" with a large mouth and good drainage. All of them together don't really fill up the pot (5 1/2 in.) but they aren't drowning either. I cut all the yellowed leaves, leaving only the green and now I am praying again! If anyone can think of anything else I should/could do...

Hello Jiffymouse, Just wanted to tell you I'm happy your peace lily is out of ICU and on the road to recovery. No such luck with my Bonsai, but I'll be pulling for you guys!!!!! (Sorry no advise to give, but thinking you probably don't want any of mine...you actually want your plant to survive...but I'm working on it).

As long as there is a sign of perk-up, there is hope!

Super thrive is widely advertised and available. However, I think it is a waste of money. B vitamins are of no value to plants. The hormones and other unspecified ingredients in this product are also of dubious value.
Although this product makes many elaborate claims, the manufacturer has refused to divulge its ingredients so that it can be tested by independent scientists. I wonder why?

OK, the baby is now in critical icu at home with me. I just didn't have the space to keep him in the office and baby him the way he needs it. one piece is doing well in water at the office, two are iffy in water here and the big one... well, he isn't dead yet!
