I fed the flytrap a feeder cricket, which had been fed cricket food and calcium enhanced cricket water, (to help with toad nutrition), and the leaf that ate the cricket turned black soon after. The plant didn't really catch the entire cricket, just the head mainly.

should I go ahead and clip the leaf, or let the cricket finish digesting?
and is there something different I should do about the insects that I feed the plant?
