Aloha, I love Boston Ferns I have some in the house right now and I saw one of them have this white powder on and around the leaves, I am sure it is not white fly, what can I use to take care of this? Mahalo Mary

Can you provide a more complete description of the white stuff. Is it dryn powdery? Is it soft and cotton-like? oes it move or look like an insect? Does it look like it is dried onto the fronds? Do you find it in the soil, on the fronds, on the stems, or all over?

I have found it all over the fern, it is not like a bug just powdery stuff

heya.im wondering if maybe it is dried fertilizer. sometimes if someone mists plants with water with soem fertilizer in it, it leaves a white powdery substance all over the plant. how is that plant otherwise? -cassie
