I GARDEN IN ZONE 8 AND ALWAYS PLANT SWEET POTATO MARGARITE WHICH IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VINE. THIS YEAR WHEN REDOING THE BED IN THE FALL I DUG IT UP AND THERE WERE HUGE POTATOES. HOW DO YOU OVERWINTER THESE AND DO YOU CUT THEM AND REPLANT IN THE SPRING OR DO YOU PLANT THE WHOLE TATER? THANKS

You can store them in a cool yet dry place for the winter. When you are ready to plant them....you can cut them into sections...usually 2-4 depending on how many eyes there are. You will need to treat the cut edges with a fungacide though.

Good luck
