Hello everyone! I just bought a weeping pussy willow tree last week from an in door garden shop. Since the temps here are still freezing when would the best time to plant it outside be? I live in N VA and I don't want the tree to go into shock it does have the catkins on it already and I don't know if I should keep it indoors until spring or let it go through the cold weather to go dormant. pLease let me know I don't want to harm it. Thanks!

I'm not sure what zone Virginia falls in, but wait until your last frost date has passed and then start putting it outside for the day in a shady area, bringing it in at night. Do that for about a week and it should be hardened off enough to plant.
bbbbbbbbb Oh Deer!

Was your plant indoors or outdoors at the garden center when you bought it. If it was outdoors....then it should be safe to leave it outside till you plant. But if it was indoors, then I agree with strawbari....harden it off and plant it out once all danger of frost is past and the ground is workable.
