Hello,

I am new to this forum and a wantabe gardner. Hello to all.

In the beginning of the summer I bought what the label said were bluebells. I put them in a hanging basket. I have not been able to get more than a dozen blooms off the now large amount of greenery growing. Any suggestions.

hey gardengrl,
welcome to the garden helper! We have a very friendly bunch here who will help you. My first thoughts on your blue bells though are this...
1 - did you fertilize the plant.
2 - did you put it in a pot that was larger than the amount of plant?

I have found, and if you read the posts here, most plants bloom better if they are root bound. and if you fertilize too soon, they make more foliage and less flowers.

That is all I can think of right now, but hang around, some one will have more info!
Happy gardening!
