Hi, Morning Glories are an annual vine. They do self-sow, but I would save some seeds and sow them out in the Spring when the ground warms up. They are a pretty easy vine to grow. Good Luck------

I think there is also a perennial vine as well. I dont have one, but would like to get the perennial type sometime. I have seen them, tho, and they do well in our climate. (i didnt look to see where you were located, but I wouldnt trim/prune it until frost danger is over.(unless its invading somewhere you dont want it)
