I just had to do that But really, I have the easiest, bestest tasting fudge recipe. I got it out of a Hershy's cook book and modified it to suit! It is great with nut pieces stirred in (I prefer pecans), as well as marshmallows if you like that kind of thing.
ok, here it is.
1 box confectioner's sugar (the 10x works better than the 4x) 1 stick butter or margarine (doesn't make a difference) 1/2 cup cocoa powder (any brand works good, even a store brand) 1/4 cup milk (whole or 2%, I've used both)
dump sugar into a glass bowl (microwavable, steep sides work best). pour cocoa on top of sugar. slice the stick of butter into 8 pieces and place around the edges of the bowl clock fashion. pour milk over the top. microwave on high for 3-5 minutes (until milk bubbles and butter starts to really melt). mix very well with either electric mixer or wooden spoon. (while mixing add nuts or marshmallows if desired) pour into wax paper lined or buttered 8x8 pan. let cool.
does not double well, but the same bowl can be used for several consecutive batches without washing between. Enjoy!!

Jiffy I made your fudge tonight!!!! It's in the fridge right now and I haven't really got to taste it yet....except for the little licking I did of the beaters....lol
It was very thin in my pan though, is your usually like that???? I used an 8 by 8 like you said....I wonder if next time I could just make it a little bigger, maybe not double it up, but maybe do and extra half a batch at the same time....you said it wasn't good to double so I don't know....I added walnuts to it...yummy.
It tasted good on the beaters though!

ok Loz, it is doubleable after all. I was finally able to successfully double it last night. put mine in an 8" round pan, put it in the fridge for a couple of hours, set right up! yes, it is thin if you put it into an 8x8. but sets up so well and tastes better.

Jiffy thanks for the recipe, I just can't believe how easy it is.....It took me all of 5 mins to make....It's all gone now except for some crumbs left in the unwashed pan....lol My family swarmed down on it like vultures...and they all couldn't believe I made fudge, me the one that doesn't like to bake or make cookies....heck, they didn't know how easy it was for me to make....lol Tasted pretty darn good too!!
I even bought more ingredients to make 2 more batches of it today. I'll be making this at christmas for sure....for when my friends come over...

I made some yesterday! It was so quick and easy I wound up making two batches, one with a dusting of crushed peppermints and one with raisins. Both were lovely! I'm going out for more powdered sugar. Thanks!
