Weezie13 I promised you this recipe and forgot to send it. Sorry. Take 3 cups of flour and add 4 tsp of baking powder, add 1/2 tsp salt. Cut in 2/3 cup of shortening, add by hand 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk. Stir and knead a little. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick in a rectangle.Spread 1/4 cup melted margarine and 3/4 cup brown sugar and 3 tablespoons of cinnamon. cut in 8 strips (lenghtwise) Roll in a circle and bake 350 oven for 20-25 min. You can mix some cream and powdered sugar to drizzle over when there warm also.

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!!!

Thank~You!! [Cool] [Love] [kissies] [angel]

One question, "lard" = "crisco"????

I made a bread (cinnamin rolled type too)
Flatten the dough, spread that mixture on it,
and roll, and put in a bread pan!! (In highschool, won first prize, don't remember the recipe I used...)
Would the baking time/temp be the same, if I made bread out of same recipe???

Weezie

Weezie, I never use lard but it is an equal measurement. When I make bread I use a hot oven, usually 400 degrees. Just use a bread recipe(let rise once first then punch down)then roll out in a rectangle (its harder to roll), I have a heavy marble rolling pin for my breads.Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon over the melted butter. and roll up(not too tight though). Place 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon together and spread in bottom of greased pan. Then add cinnamon bread and let rise close to an hour then bake for 30 min.
