Suzy, I dont' have any recipes but I do know when reading up on it for my dad, the key to some of it maybe FIBER... That dreaded word.... but supposedly, that helps immensely... *you know, pushes that stuff out real fast and keeps stuff moving* Romaine lettuce, *not like an iceberg that is equivalant to water* Hearty Wheat breads and such, *hearty as in hunks and chunks in the breads, not the soft ones..* Russet potatoes, *if you have to use a potato the russet's are higest in FIBER, but highest in calorie count too, but fiber is good* Apples, Fig Cookies, Wheat thins, carrots, swiss chards, spinach....Cabbage/coleslaw... Hope that helps a wee~bit in some info... Stuff with crunch in in it....bbbbbbbbb Weezie Don't forget to be kind to strangers. My dad was on Lipitor.... Do me a favor and pay attention to your body/muscles....If you experience any stiffening or soreness, don't hesitate to tell your doct.. and memory stuff...If you are more forgetful than normal.... I read up alot on it.... And as always with the INTERNET, you wonder exactly what is true and what isn't.... But here's one I will post for you, and have read similar types of questions about it...Bad News About Statin Drugs There's a ton of info on it out there... I have lot's of it, if you'd like... But just keep optimist about it... and remember to PUSH THAT FOOD ALONG!!! bbbbbbbbb Weezie Don't forget to be kind to strangers. Also....... look into a supplement called Co Q-10 The Lipitor when you're on it supposedly depletes the Co Q~10 *hence systoms of memory loss* so if you take a supplement it is supposed to help in that area.. We take it here.. I can't say we take it every day, but we do take it..bbbbbbbbb Weezie Don't forget to be kind to strangers. The infection was causing me severe stomach pain (which I thought was caused by my 4 cm hiatal hernia). The helidac meds will stop me from getting an ulcer from the infection (I hope). The meds are yucky though (16 pills a day for 2 weeks), plus I take the lipitor at bed time (1) and 1 protonix in the a.m. for the acid reflux. 18 pills a day ... I'm losing it here! ;-0 Yep .... I'm a real mess. lol ;-)bbbbbbbbb "WHEN IN DOUBT ... DON'T"
