Hi Weezie! If you think that it's a Zinnia, it probably is! It was growing in that same Dahlia field that I wandered through. Sometimes (at 4 AM when I post the pix) I just have to fake it and rely on you guys to catch my goof ups... Thank you!

Bill,
I have grown a few zinnia's in my time,
Haven't recently, but,
looked like the kind I did grow........

I havent' grown them since my mother
moved next door, maybe this coming year
I will. I love bright pink and orange together.
And the big, tall ones...
I believe they were my first flowers that
got me hooked on growing flowers.
They came in one of those mats, that
you rough up the dirt, lay the mat down
and water!!!
I was hooked!!!!

Looks like a zinnia to me too!!! And weezie that is what got me hooked on gardening....A few years back I bought some but couldn't plant them at my apartment so I took them to my moms and planted the seeds not thinking that they would even grow, but lo and behold they grew--and tall too!!!! I was so proud of them, I went out and checked on them every time I was at my parents house. [thumb]
