Viburnum bodnantense is deciduous shrub which grows to a height of 8-10 feet. They produce clusters of very fragrant pink flowers in late winter or early spring.
The 3-4 inch leaves are bronze when the first appear in the Spring, become dark green in the Summer, and turn reddish in the Fall. They should be grown in full sun but will appreciate a little afternoon shade in hotter climates.. They grow best in fertile, well draining soil. Unfortunately, a late freeze may kill the new flower buds... This plant can be propagated by softwood cuttings taken in early Summer. Viburnum bodnantense is hardy in USDA Zones 6-9
