Reiger Begonias are a hybrid cross between tuberous and wax Begonias. With proper care, they will remain in bloom for several months.
Rieger Begonias need bright, filtered light, with maximum light in winter. An east window is usually ideal. Allow the soil to dry only slightly between waterings. Provide additional humidity by misting twice daily or by setting the plants on shallow trays filled with moistened pebbles. While in bud or bloom feed your Rieger monthly with a dilute, water soluble houseplant fertilizer (15-30-15).
Ideal temperatures are 65 to 70 degrees during the day and 50 to 65 degrees at night. Avoid hot and cold drafts.
After the plant has flowered for several months, blooming will begin to decline. When this happens, give the plant a fresh start by cutting it back to within 3 inches of the crown. Place it in a cool location with moderate light and keep it on the dry side, but don’t allow the soil to dry completely. When new growth begins to emerge repot the plant, move back to brighter light and resume moderate watering and light fertilization. (Rieger Begonias do not like to be root bound, so you should repot to the next larger size pot)
New plants can be propagated with 3 inch cuttings taken after blooming has finished.

HI AGAIN BILL. AWHILE AGO I E-MAILED YOU ABOUT MY REIGER BEGONIA. ALL OF THE BUDS HAVE FALLEN OFF AND NOE THE LEAVES ARE TURNING DARK BROWN AND GETTING CRISP. I PUT IT UNDER A GROW LIGHT TO TRY AND GIVE IT SOME HELP ON LIGHT SINCE ALL OF MY WINDOWS GET SUN AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER DURING THE DAY. IS THE GROW LIGHT NOT THE THING TO DO? CAN I TRIM DOWN AND LET IT START AGAIN OR IS IT TO LATE? I THOUGHT THEY WHERE EASY TO GROW HOWEVER MY BOSOTON FERN IS PROVING TO BE AN EASIER TASK TO HANDLE THAN THE BEGONIA. PLEASE HELP!

I don't grow that particular brand of begonia's...
But mine go dormant as soon as it gets cold/fall time up here, and I stop watering them, and they go dormant... everything dries up, falls off and then come about spring time, I re~start~to~water and they sprout....for another summer..
Might you have a picture of them??
Can you repost your picture, if you have one up in PLANTS AND FLOWER SECTION, and we'll see if we can help you a little further with your plants..
And Welcome to The Garden Helpers' Forum by the way, we are very glad you found us....
