Siberian Irises (Iris siberica) typically bloom in late May and into June with colors ranging from white to shades of blue and purple.
They are very durable and extremely hardy. They tolerate a wide range of soil conditions, but prefer a rich, well draining acid soil (pH 5.5 to 6.9). Siberian Irises should be grown in full sun except in very hot climates where they will require some light shading.
Siberian Iris are planted slightly deeper than other types of Iris. The rhizomes should be covered with one to two inches of soil. They should be fed in early Spring and again after they have finished blooming. In the Fall, cut the foliage back close to the ground after it dies back. Siberian Iris should be divided every 3-4 years to ensure a quality show of blooms.

I have a white one and it hasn't done nearly as well as my purple one. The purple one is more shaded, but my mom's are in full sun and it does fine. The white one is in full sun. Strange.
