I was about to bring in all the Willy's for the winter, clean them up and keep warm, and let them rest untill spring . HOWEVER>>> I was at petsmart getting crickets for the pitcher plant and saw an aquarium bridge and thought *HMMM little Willy could use that to cross over yonder * so with the strong persuasion of my Grandson I got it. He not knowing He was the one to help me get creative with it sooo instead of bringing the last of the willy's in -- we took the ones already in back out for 1 more day of a social gathering and some last minute fall work !
Of course talking about it is one thing and doing it is quite the other!!.. Sooooo Here's the other

Will we see Willys all sleeping in tomorrow morning, with wee-willy beer bottles strewn around the yard...and Willys finally waking up, stumbling around with hang-overs, looking for aspirin and coffee?

Diane, that is so DELIGHTFUL!!!! I LOVE IT!
I've been dreaming of a little miniature garden with similar features and fairies and willies and maybe a little stone house for two summers now. Maybe I will finally get to it this year! You've inspired me.
(What an honor to be moved down here with Bill's ever-popular Wild Willy series!

Thanks for moving it Bill *I really wasn't sure where to post it* I just knew these Willys worked hard for me all last spring and summer enduring the blasting heat and drought and they deserved a nice fun day on an absolutely beautiful day.
Hmmm Don't know what I may find in the morning Cindy , They're still out there cuz I heard some flute music, playing a while ago I think maybe the fairies have joined the party! Maybe I need to go check on them again might need some snacks right about now!

I am not sure i want Brennan to see this topic...
The other day when he was here he wanted to gather up all the upstairs Willys and take them downstairs to play with all the downstairs Willys...and said they needed a house, etc.
When we were downstairs he played with all the Willys that weren't in boxes, then said the Willys in the boxes needed out of the boxes so they could breathe, because they were smothering inside the boxes.
Nope...Brennan is NOT seeing this topic!

Diane - this was a perfect ending to an otherwise difficult day. You have an incredible Willy collection going there - how long have you been at it? The bridge is just PERFECT for them, and I'm sure the wee ones appreciated being able to cross over and join the fun on the other side.
Keep up the great work, and thanks so much for sharing the fun with us here!

I started collecting them with in a few months after joining GH.. I've been here a little over a year now! Before that I didn't even know they existed! really! No wonder my flowers outside did so poorly and the lettuce and tomatos I planted poorly produced. Since I've had them and the more I get the better the bloom, the longer the beauty, and the greener the grass, and That's No imagination!

Okay today is the day I start taking outside more willys! The two brothers that walk the bridge welll one of them is hiding I've looked for a week, where he scrambled off too I don't know. His brother is already out on the bridge carrying apples and working away exhausting himself while his brother inside is playing hide and seek I guess I'd better put Big willy on the lookout for him...
